The Viking Centre's beds are in the most important building in a Viking settlement, the chieftain's hall. The hall is not only the chieftain's dwelling, but also the place for gatherings and center of feasts and religious ceremonies. You can experience the mythical Viking Age in Rosala Viking Centre!
The sleeping alcoves are at the long walls in the chieftain's hall Rodeborg. The alcoves are separated by fabrics, and fit one person comfortably each. This is a dorm room accommodation, you share the room with other travelers. Please note that pets cannot be accommodated in the sleeping alcoves.
Check-in is at 6.00 pm, but you are warmly welcome to explore the Viking village earlier. The hall is one of the sights of the Viking Centre and our main dining room and open for public untill around 8.00 pm.
The reception is open according to the opening hours of the Viking Centre, for example in the summer until 6.00 pm.
Breadfast is included. We can take notice of most of food allergies at breakfast, if we get the information in advance. All food is low on lactose. You can write the diets on Additional information under Customer details at checkout.
When you are staying in the Viking village, we of course recommend a Viking Viking dinner as well. Please note that dinner must be booked in advance at the latest the same morning.
Viking Centre is located on the beautiful island of Rosala in the municipality of Kimitoön. You can reach the island from Kasnäs from Kasnäs by free ferry M/S Aurora. The Viking Centre is 5 km from the island’s ferry harbour. If you travel with your own boat, you can dock at one of the guest piers on Rosala island.
